if merger eventually takes place, Microsoft remain Microsoft and Yahoo will remain as Yahoo and have seamless integration with Microsoft-Hot Mail-Live.

Yahoo will retain its own identity.

they are not going to merge so it's moot. but if they did it would stay yahoo because that's the brand. microsoft could also call some aspects of it MSNYahoo.
