Microsoft outlook backup method?

I used to back up this folder for MS Outlook:

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

Inside this folder 'office data files' are there and i used to backup this whole 'outlook' folder only.

is this method correct?

My system got formatted now and i have pasted this backup, but im not able to see my personal folder again.

how to restore the backup? please help.

That is the correct folder. What you need to do is go to File%26gt;Import/Export in Outlook. Then import the file from the saved folder.

When you reinstalled Windows and then Office it does not point to your old file, it looks at a new file.
