I can't tell you what I did but now on Microsoft Word when viewing a document in Print Layout there are graph line behind my test. The lines don't print but it is very annoying. Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.
And I do vote for best answer so hopefully this is going to be an easy 10 points for you and get rid of a headache for me. : )

In Word, display the Drawing toolbar if it isn't already displayed (click on View | Toolbars | Drawing). On the Drawing toolbar, click on Draw | Grid | uncheck the "Display gridlines on screen" box | OK.

Does this occur when you open a new document?
What version MSword are you using?
If it is happening also when opening a new doc, check on "format" + "reveal format" you will see a list and also be able to delete the suspect item.
I am presuming that you are using ms office 2003 or above, if not then create a new doc, then copy and paste your content, if the problem persists then it's possibly formating problem,
select all, remove formating.
make the lines bolder.
What is your test?
