OpenOffice is an option, but if it's not practical to download a whole application right now, another choice would be to do it online at http://docs.google.com .

You can upload your Word file and open it in Google's online word processing application (for free, although you have to register if you don't already have an account on Google), then edit it with the Google word processor.

You can print it, save it online (and edit it on any computer), download it to your computer, etc. It will let you save it in Word or OpenOffice format, too.

uninstall and then install it again
Your beta copy is no longer functional. Buy a copy of Microsoft Home Office. That's all you can do about Word. On the other hand, you can download Open Office and install it. It is every bit as good as Microsoft Office and it is free. It will open your existing Office files and you can edit them and save them as Microsoft Office files.
If your beta testing period is over there is nothing you can do. You have to buy the complete software to be able to continue using the program.
