Microsoft Visual Web Developer 2005 Problem???

I downloaded Microsoft Visual Web Developer 2005 in the net. When I finished installing it in my computer, it automatically prompts for a registration of the product. Does this registration means paying for the product? Is it safe to register for the product? The message box said that it must be registered so as to continue using the program. I thought ASP.net can be used for free by just downloading it in the internet. Please help!

there is absolutely no cost of any kind. just register they will give registration key in email. use that key for registration.
