I am currently writing up my coursework in microsoft word, using the 1.5 line spacing setting. But it has suddenly cut off the top of all my words. How do I rectify this without losing the line spacing setting?

That used to happen to me....it might help if you highlight the entire document and copy and paste it into a new document....that used to work for me...if not...go to the top of the document and hit 'enter' 3-5 times to move everything down and sometimes that will jostle the words back into regular appearance...another is highlight the entire thing, put it back into single spacing....and if it looks fine, highlight it again, and put it all back into 1.5. Microsoft word sometimes has quirks...you just have to wrestle with it, and it will go back to normal.

You definately sure it is set to 1.5. I can only imagine you accidently set to less than 1? Otherwise I am clueless
Did you highlight all the text and go the long way round, i.e. format, paragraph and set the line spacing to 1.5 exactly, meaning it would possibly compress all text into that space? Try highlighting again, and use Ctrl5. If that doesnt work, go back into paragraph (you can do right button of mouse, paragraph, and look at the spacing betwen paragraphs. Set both before and after to 0 and you should be OK.
