Microsoft update?

why i get error msg when i try to update from microsoft

Try going to Microsoft.com then click on events and errors. You should be able to find your error code and it will explain what it is. I am running vista and when I get an update error it has view more details that I can click on that tells me about it. It may only be an error due to you already have the update or for example I tried to update a driver and it gave me an error saying that my driver was already as good or better than the update.

to vague what is the error message your getting. what browser are you using

what is the update? do you need it?

have you auto update turned on?

go to the MS update site and try and download the updates from there NOT AUTO update
Check to see if you have a pirated version of windows.....could be the problem
are you using internet explorer? if not, you can't, and it will return an error.
