Microsoft Word Language??

I have Microsoft Word but would that program set the language to Japanese if I wanted to write it in that language?? Or would everything in my computer going to change into Japanese? Because I want to set it back to English after writing the letter in Japanese. What's going to happen and how do I do it?

If you want to write it in Japanese, you have to install new keyboard settings, you can't just set the language to Japanese (and it won't change any other settings on your computer) To install keyboard settings, Goto Control Panel. Click Switch to Classic View at left of the Window. Double click Regional and Language Options. A new window should appear and click the Languages tab. Under Text services and input languages, click Details. A new window should appear and under Preference, click Language Bar and make sure Show the Language Bar at Desktop is checked. Then click Add under Installed Sevices. Another window will appear and select Input language to Japanese and select Keyboard layout/IME to Microsoft IME Standard 2002 and click OK. You should see a small icon that says EN near the bottom of your screen, click that and change that to Japanese. You should be able to write Japanese now and it won't affect any programs on your computer.

If you don't see Microsoft IME Standard 2002, you have to install East Asian Language. Again in Regional and Language Options - Languages, under Supplemental Language Support, click and check Install files for East Asian languages, and click OK. It might require you insert your Operating System Disk into your computer. After the files are installed, just do the steps again.

Loading Word language pack will not change the language setting of your operating system. Go to MSN.net with language pack for Word, you can find the software to download for your MS Word.
