I recently upgraded to Microsoft Office 2007 because my workplace upgraded. After I installed Office I opened up Word. It did that first time configuration thing which took about 10 minutes. I did my work and then closed out and powered down my laptop. The next day I turned my laptop on and opened up word. It did the same first time configuration thing again. It now does that every single time I open any program in Office. I hate because it's annoying and it takes forever to finish. I heard their is some registry editing you can do to get around this. Any one know where to get this information from? Anything helps! Thanks!
Specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8Ghz
2GB DDR2
200GB 7200RPM SATA HDD
GeForce Go 7400
D-Link Rangebooster N 650 Wireless Card
Windows Vista Home Premium
Sony Vaio VGN-AR230G
(I did some upgrades by the way...so it won't be what the stock specs say)
Thanks!
Microsoft Office 2007 takes forever to load?kawasaki
If you have an older version of Office installed alongside Office 2007, then you can modify the Windows registry as described in http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=92809... "Information about using 2007 Office suites and programs on a computer that is running another version of Office" to stop the reconfiguring process.
